Before cleaning begins

• Remove boxes, loose belongings, food, and rubbish from the rooms being cleaned.
• Set aside keys, remotes, manuals, and items that must remain with the property.
• Photograph delicate, marked, or damaged surfaces before work starts.
• Check product labels and surface-care instructions before using chemicals.
• Arrange safe access to power, water, parking, lifts, gates, and alarm systems.
• Keep children and pets away from wet floors, equipment, and cleaning products.

Work through the home in four passes

1. Step 1

   Dust and detail

   Start with vents, ledges, light fittings, tops of doors, shelving, skirting, tracks, and other high or easily missed surfaces.

2. Step 2

   Clean kitchens and bathrooms

   Allow dwell time for suitable products, then rinse and dry surfaces so residue and streaks are visible.

3. Step 3

   Finish floors

   Vacuum edges and cupboards before cleaning hard floors or arranging separately agreed carpet treatment.

4. Step 4

   Inspect at the exit

   Check inside storage, behind doors, around switches, in corners, and along the route used to remove the final supplies.

Final room-by-room check

• Kitchen: benches, sink, splashback, hob, rangehood exterior, cupboard faces, and agreed appliance interiors.
• Bathrooms: shower, bath, basin, toilet, mirrors, fittings, ventilation cover, and dry floors.
• Bedrooms and living areas: shelves, wardrobes, skirting, reachable marks, windowsills, and floors.
• Laundry and utility areas: tub, shelving, appliance spaces, lint, and floor edges.
• Outdoor or shared-access areas: only the balconies, paths, bins, garage, or entrance areas included in the agreed scope.
